Randoms

So here's just a couple random things that have been going on. Rhett decided to give Ava a pickle today. SHE LOVED IT! sorry it's kinda blurry. Always happens when I take pics with my phone. Oh don't worry.... there is NO WAY she could have choked on the pickle!

This was one of Ava's christmas presents. She's finally getting big enough (sort of) to ride it. Her feet only touch the bottom when she has on shoes that are way too big for her :)

Stroll

So Ava and I decided to go for a little stroll in front of our house this morning. She walked a really long way.... for little legs! She totally biffed it at one point, but just got back up and kept on walking. She LOVES to be outside. It was a little chilly so we didn't stay out for too long. It must have wore her out because she came right in, had a bottle, and is now passed out in her bed!

11 MONTHS OLD!!!

11 months old?!?! Where does time go? That means next month she'll be 1 year old already! Little facts about Ava:

1) She got her first bruise on her head the other day. Evidently the church door decided to jump out and attack her. Who thought she'd get a bruise going into church... can anyone say IRONIC!!

2) Just about every time you ask her a question... she answers "yeah" no matter what the question is.

3) Last time we went into the Doctor's office (2 weeks ago) she weighed 16lbs 13 oz. She's little...

4) She will only give Dad kisses if Mom gives her kisses first.

5) She can throw an absolute tantrum! She throws her head down to the ground between her legs and screams! It just great. I will get it on video one of these times.

6) She will only share her toys if SHE is in the mood to share.

7) She now has 4 teeth. Two on top & two on bottom.

8) She loves just about any book.

9) She loves sweet potato baby puffs or "baby crack" as Heidi refers to it.

10) Grandpa Brad is still her favorite..... next to mom now. :)

The Wave

So... I realize I have been slacking in the blogging are for a while now. My camera has been acting up and it seems that every time I go to download pictures it either won't do it or the pictures aren't there. If you're anything like me.... you're not into reading a bunch of lame stuff that happened to us... you pretty much just want to see pictures. Hence, no posts. Now for those of you who are saying "WAIT! I LOVE TO READ THAT STUFF!" Kudos to you and this one's for you...... if you aren't into reading... feel free to skip down to the video. My feelings won't be hurt ;)

Not much has been going on lately. Ava's getting bigger, time flies by, Ava will be a year old NEXT MONTH! Crazy! We spent last weekend out at Rhett's parent's house where the "men" basically burnt up his parents hillside. Alright, it was a controlled burn, but they are pyro's all the same! Supposedly they "needed to get rid of all that junky dead wood". I think they just wanted to light something on fire, and this seemed like a good excuse. While out there I found out that evidently they make some canes out of a bull penis. Had no idea. Had to google it because I didn't believe Deb (my mother-in-law). I bet you google it too! I don't know why anyone would want to use that as a cane!

We are just keeping busy with the same ole day in and day out. Nothing too exciting to report. However, Ava did have her first modeling job a couple weeks ago. ;). My friend Talia does photography (AN AMAZING JOB I might add), and she needed some model babies for a flier she was putting together for a Valentines day special she is doing. Here is a video of Ava waving bye. Oh yes, and snapping her finger. Which is the same motion. I still thought it was cute. Watch her right hand.

10 Months Old!!!

Wow... so it's been a while since I've updated this. Time flies! I guess not much has really been going on to talk about. Let's see.... maybe I can come up with a couple of things..... oh... my Aunt, Uncle & Cousins from California came up for the week betwen Christmas and New Year's, that was a blast! My Great Grandma passed away on Tuesday... she was 97.5 years old!! OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!! GET THIS...... Rhett's mom broke her leg in 5 different places the day before New Year's Eve sledding at their house!! Can you believe it?! A 50+ year old woman sledding! Felt bad for her, but come on that's hilarious. She broke her Fibula, Tibia, and 3 of her metatarsals (foot bones). She had to have surgery to had a rod put in her fibula and casted up. She will be on cruches for quite some time and then probably a walking cast after that.

Ok, Ok... so now the reason for the post.... Ava is now 10 months old! Another month has flown by! Here's a few things about her.

She has a full blown mullet.

She says "woah" and "wow" and uses them at the proper time... it's really funny.

She knows the word "NO" and definately knows when to use it.

Grandpa Brad is still her favorite!

She has a serious case of stranger danger.

She's still short & chunky... not too chunky though.

She puts my cell phone up to her ear and starts jabbering.

She walks along furniture, but isn't brave enough to stand on her own yet.

She crawled up out entire staircase today (13 stairs)!! Which is a big deal since she has been terrified of them since she had her little tumble down them. Can't say I blame her.

She is a dancing fool!! You just have to tell her to dance and she starts rockin out! I'll get it on video sometime soon and post it.

She has an ATTITUDE!!! She thinks she's the boss... and I'm sure some might agree that she is.

She still LOVES bathtime. She loves her bath toys. She could be in there all day if we'd let her.

Ava's 1st Christmas!!!

So, here is how our Christmas started. Poor Ava had a cold for her 1st Christmas and her eye was gooped shut. However, we cleaned her up and she was fine for the rest of the day. I was surprised at how into Christmas she was.

I thought for sure she would be more interested in the boxes than the toys, but she LOVED all of her gifts. She got more toys then she'll know what to do with! Thanks to everyone who made it so special for us.

1st experience with snow...

So, as promised... here are some pics from our 2nd Santa party.... yes the one where Santa was the devil according to Ava & Shaelynn.
