My my my....

Wow time flies!!! So Ava is now 4 months old. Can you believe it?! We have been so incredibly busy this month... obviously since I haven't done any new posts for a month. We just got back from Rhett's parents house this weekend. Our friends Talia and Justin joined us with their little boy Turner. We went boating. We had a blast! Ava liked putting her feet in the water, but she wasn't such a fan of having her hands in it. We are going out again next weekend to do a little more boating. Thanks to my dad letting us borrow his boat. Sorry I don't have any pictures to post. Actually I have pictures, but my computer is being worked on at the moment, so I don't have a way to get them on here. I'll post some as soon as I get it back. Ava is getting sooo big! She is figuring out her hands and loves to grab stuff. She loves to play in her saucer. She gets so excited it looks like she's having convulsions. It's hilarious. She has figured out her voice and thinks that she needs to talk ALL the time. She rarely stops. Her reflux is still bad, although better managed. Well... I'll update you again soon.

So we had our friends Talia and Justin over the other night for a bbq... always great fun! Ava and Turner got to hang out again. Here's some cute pics....

Time To Relax!

Just like her mom.... Ava loves a nice warm bath! So.... this would leave one to ponder... would she like the hottub? Why yes she did! As you can see from the pics below. I know what you're thinking.... "why on earth would you put your 2.5 month old baby in the hottub?" Don't fret! My parents keep it turned down really low so it's more the same temp as a bath. But she did love hanging out with dad and the cousins.

Weenie Roast!

So last weekend was Ava's first big trip to the mountains with me and Rhett. No... not camping... are you kidding me?? Just for a fun little weenie roast with some of our friends. Ava absolutely loves being outside, so we figured she'd enjoy it. And she did! She got to spend some time with her buddy Turner (my friend Talia's little boy that is 10 days younger than Ava). They laid together in her outdoor bassinet. She was WIDE awake and all Turner wanted was a liittle sleep. Ava was bound and determined that it wasn't going to happen! She kept smacking him in the head! He kept squirming over as far as he could get. Seemingly trying to get away from her. As he turns his head the other direction to avoid her. It was pretty funny! Both of the babies were really good the whole time... a sigh of relief cuz last time they were together they both screamed the whole time.

Hallelujah!

Good news!!! I think ava's refux is finally under control! Happy day! She does very good now and hardly spits up at all. Complete day and night change. Very welcomed result after projectile vomiting, countless trips to the pediatrician, low weight gain, 2 trips to Primary Children's Hospital for tests, several chiropractor visits, and who knows how many outfit changes and soaked burb cloths. They switched her medicine again and its been 2 weeks and things are much better! She's gaining weight normally now and is generally happier. And today she actually didn't scream when I put her in her carseat.... TWICE!!! Things are looking up!
